March 2014 Shine Relief Trust was nominated and won the Special Achievement Award at the Malawian Association Achievers Awards 2014
The award was promptly sent out to our team on the ground in Zomba District as they celebrated their 4th year working with the communities in Kuntumanji,
The Trustees then presented the “Special Achievers Award” to children and students who are doing well at school, to encourage them to continue to work hard.
Shine’s Bursary Scheme has funded even more young people at Nsondole Secondary School and Mulungusi Boarding School Zomba this year.
In September we funded 9 children at Nsondole Secondary School and four at two boarding schools.
“To hold an award was a very great thing for me. We are all encouraged to continue working hard at school. Thank you to all the Shine friends, for caring for me like a daughter. ” Brenda. These young people are shining in their community.
